Hay qué frio hombre...
I commute year round, studded tires in our Canadian winter, but I have to say I don't have a big urge to quote "bike travel" in cold temps. |

me neither, I hate it. this came by surprise, I climbed Javalambre 2200m and was in a very good mood. later I was so far that I did not want to turn around, so I had two cold days. the second night in the morning I had snow all around the tent and -6C inside the tent. ;)
No fun for anyone, but especially for a skinny guy. |

I've never camped colder than maybe 3, 4c , so I know at -6c I would need lots of clothes and especially a better camp mat and warmer sleeping bag. This May I did an overnighter and it was about 3c at night and I was cold in the night.

as you say, and as Canadians all know, it's all about having the right clothes and sleeping kit for a given temperature.

This trip through Morocco looks fairly nice. Apparently it's a new cross-country series of paths, unimproved roads and some paved ones linked into a ~1300-mile journey ... nearly all of it able to be ridden.
https://www.bbc.com/travel/article/2...-cycling-route Called "The Route of Caravans", there is a northern leg (520mi) and a southern leg (768mi), with a combined ascent of more than 110,000 feet. On the website there is also a great photo gallery. Below are a few of the pics. https://bikepacking.com/wp-content/u...-1536x1022.jpg https://bikepacking.com/wp-content/u...-1022x1536.jpg https://bikepacking.com/wp-content/u...-1536x1024.jpg https://bikepacking.com/wp-content/u...-1024x1536.jpg https://bikepacking.com/wp-content/u...-1536x1024.jpg |

Yeah, I posted that link partly with you in mind, knowing your stomping grounds are just across the way. Might be an interesting several weeks' journey, if you find the wilds of Spain a bit too ho-hum.

Are all those pine trees leaning or was there some sort of distortion?
