Prince Edward County, Ontario: CC Touring info needed

Has this happened to you? My spouse is getting a bit jealous about the weekends I spend away touring. She would like to come on a tandem. She won't stealth camp, but we can stay at a B&B.

I thought Prince Edward County would be a good choice as it is near to Toronto, and there are lots of things to do. I'm looking for suggestions. Where do we stay and where can we rent a tandem? Also is there a suggested route on the island/penninsula?

I've done this before: This is Prince Edward County, Ontario, not the province of Prince Edward Island, Canada.

Quinte is really nice and you should be able to find a nice B&B in Picton, it is a good base.
Here is one link for you, I had a few more but I can't seem to find them.

I would make my base in one of the villages near Lake Ontario, such as Milford, Bloomfield or Waupoos, rather than Picton. B+Bs come and go, but you will have plenty to choose from. A trip to Sandbanks is de rigeur. The past two times I went to PEC, I visited wineries. The county is an up-and-coming wine area. To tell you the truth, nothing I tried was worth drinking, but that will hopefully change as the growers and makers figure out how to make the best of what this land and environment produces. See if you can find locally-produced Pinot Noir or Cabernet Franc; apparently these grapes show great promise.

You can have a great time in PEC just by heading down any county road and going where fancy takes you.

Have a great holiday!
