Selecteed photos from my tour through Southern Italy

In April, 2016, I rode from Naples down the southeast coastline of Italy and then over to Sicily where I took the long way around from Messina to Palermo. This tour was all about fabulous coastal views, world heritage sites, and unbelievable wildflower displays.

I took over 1700 pictures. I've selected 73 photos as an overview of my time there. I hope you like them.

I don't take many bike photos. On this ride, I took 7.

Bike in Priano while I eat lunch

Bike being watched by ticket taker at Paestum

Bike in vista point right on the sea

Bike at water spigot above Cosenza

Bike on the Messina ferry

Bike on the train to Siracusa

Uncoupled bike in closet after being told the bike wouldn't fit in the room and to leave it locked outside.

I've only got one bike. Remember, these photos were taken during a single tour.

As for the saddle, I've tried all kinds of angles and this one with the nose up seems to be the most comfortable. It doesn't look so bad up close but I see in these photos that it is at quite an angle. I should also mention that to transport the bike in its case, I have to take the saddle off the seat post and no matter how careful I mark where it is, I always have to adjust it to find the sweet spot again.
