Inexpensive Touring Frameset

Hi,

I have an old hybrid which I've been riding single track and I wanted to put all the components of it on a touring frameset and then modify that build as I learn more about what I like to ride on tours.

So the plan is to buy a frameset which I can reuse a lot of the existing components but also upgrade as needed.

To that end I'd like the frameset to have:

a) 68mm BB
b) Accept Cantilever/V-brake *and* Disc brakes
c) Accept 700mm wheels and at at least 35mm tires
d) Of course have braze ons for front and rear panniers.
e) Steel is preferred.

Any suggestions?

The ones I found only have disk brakes OR cantilever brake support (i.e. Planet X Kaffenback 2 Frameset | Planet X)

Not exactly what you're looking for but Lynskey is blowing out a lot of Ti frames on e-bay. Friend of mine just bought a MT 29 frame for $600 to build up a new touring rig.

$590. Its specifically made to handle disc or canti brakes as its a new model called the 'DC' for handling both types.
