At that price, it must be a good bike.

well, it certainly raises the bar for what must be considered high-end.
suppose now a $5000 co-motion would be considered cheap junk.

They did not make fork crowns like that in the 1960s, the stated vintage is clearly not authentic. You should be able to bargain it down to maybe a tenth of the asking price ... or maybe even less.

I would have bought it but the $4.49 shipping takes it over the top. No thanks.

I was going to buy you one for your upcoming birthday but I figured you probably already have a couple in the garage.

Can you imagine trying to insure that thing?

Hey Squeeze, remember what you said, you get what you pay for, and if that's true, then this must be the ultimate, finest touring bike ever made.

Do a search

https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=sr_st_p...rice-desc-rank

$148.5K for a saddle?

$14K for a trunk lock? I wonder if they will sell a lock for that trunk lock and what it would cost?

$14K for a basket.

$14K for a windbreaker. Guess if you are buying a $75M bicycle, you will want a $14K windbreaker.

but high end bikes must demand a high end price. $$$ = quality

any bike bought for under $2000, even a co-motion on close out,
by definition MUST be inferior garbage.

So I did not like the LHT.
I never said $$= quality in and of itself. Your stupid assumption not mine.
Co-motion never goes on close out.
Enough with the insults.

To clarify, "Mod Notes" are directed at the thread as a whole, not whoever happened to be the previous poster.
