The burner is kinda unusual looking. Does it burn okay with a decent spread on the flame?

In this video it does well agains the MSR Pocket rocket! But its closer to the MSR micro rocket, its boiling water great, but the frames could have been wider so I dont think its good with frying pans.

I don't like spork and not a fan of folding utensils because they can break but mostly because food gets in it and it catches on fabric. I use a spoon with a long handle and leave it with my toiletries/first aid because it fits in the bag and I carry it even on stoveless trips.

I have the 700ml pot from Toaks. I bought it for backpacking since I only boil water for dehydrated meals, and because the lid fits the GSI Soloist (finally cracked after steeping on it a hundred times too many) and the the GSI bowl fits in the Toaks. I use a bandana when the handles are hot. If you want to cook anything in the pot, forget Titanium. The GSI Soloist is much better for that. A few grams more but it comes with a bowl and you can easily fit a medium size canister, stove, lighter and bowl in it. The handle locks the lid in place for transport so no stuff sack needed. It does come with a waterproof sack to use as a water bag, as well as a spork (mine didn't). From what I heard, the spork is flimsy.

I have looked at those a couple of times and REI, including when I landed in Missoula last year for the start of a tour and realized I needed a new bowl because mine old Lexan bowl had cracked in flight. Good for saving space, but I find the 5" diameter to be to small for my liking. My old Lexan bowl was 6.5" in diameter. (I still have a second one.) I ended up picking up one of these:

Deeper, wider, lighter and most importantly (because this is BF) a hell of a lot cheaper. ;)

Yeah I'm not a fan of sporks or anything plastic in my kit. Even then you need to be careful of what you get. Just because something is made of Ti, it could be inferior in many ways to something made from a different material. Some Ti utensils are media-blasted, or tumbled, and they feel ragged and rough when eating from them. For a while, you had to look around a for a decent set of fork and spoon. I have an old Snow Peak set of Ti fork and spoon. Love 'em. They are smooth, polished, and elegant.

I hate sporks because they suck. They neither fork or spoon anything well. Better off using a couple fingers, which are intrinsically the ultimate lightweight eating utensil. :D

Of course the real weight of these stoves is in the fuel canisters. But they run for a long time on even the small ones.
