What are those black rings on the cassette between cogs?
Hey All!
Newbie here - Bought a new bike 2 weeks ago (Marin Four Corners). Today noticed that one of these black rings which sits between the cogs is missing. Is this anything for me to worry about?
Thanks,
Vadim

Thank you!
So nothing to worry about or maybe have it checked out LBS?
It seemed odd to me that only one was missing, (not sure if it was there to begin with) I though maybe somehow it fell off.
Here is the actual pic.
Thanks,
Vadim

All your cogs appear to be evenly spaced. If one was missing, your cogs would be touching. Some of the cogs have built in spacers, so maybe that's causing the confusion.

Agree with the others, nothing wrong.
I suppose you could say it is too clean because if you had enough dirt between the sprockets, you would never notice they did not match.
