Do you ever repeat a tour?

Forgot to mention that the Amtrak "bike car" didn't have the usual wall racks. There were 9 bikes stacked two high (except mine) lying on the floor. Not sure if that is the norm, but there is certainly higher demand for the service than originally expected, at least on holiday weekends.
Wit there were bikes stacked on top of one another??

Ended up taking the train from D.C. to Cumberland on Saturday, and got in 22 miles in the pouring rain from the remnants of Harvey. The towpath was muddy in places on Sunday and Monday, but overall not too bad. Ran into, literally, a rider going the other way near Harpers Ferry. The guy turned into my path right in front of me and I couldn't quite come to a stop. Slightly bent my front rotor, I guess from his tire. No one fell or was hurt. The guy said "Sorry, I was looking over there (pointing at a bridge) and didn't see you." I suggested he keep an eye on where he is going, and he agreed. Found an open bike shop in Brunswick, and they loaned me a rotor truing tool. It was just rubbing just slightly at that point, so it was more to eliminate an annoyance than anything else. Aside from that, it was a nice trip.
It's been very rainy even before Harvey so I'd guess the fact you report it's not too muddy is good news.

Should have be What not wit. Wow I am not sure I like that. But guess I am committed. Leave in the morning.
So it took years of research and planning just to pile bikes in a heap. Nice!
