Trek 520 midfork brazeon question
 

What bolt is best for midfork brazeons on trek 520? I have tried a metric 5 and it doesn't seem to thread on? Help. I am trying to install a jand extreme front rack.

i have an old 520 that has bolts going throught he fork for the top low-rider mount. i don't know if that was standard or if the threads in the braze-ons were stripped out at some point and they just ran a thru-bolt. anyway, it's solid as a rock.

#10-32 x 1 1/2" is what fits the threads on mine. 1 1/4" would fit even better, but I couldn't find any. #10-32 seems to also be the standard thread for any braze-on on my bikes.

Some of those brazons go all the way through and have no thread , we have one at home I'll check it tonight and see, but it normall would be a metric 5 mm
