Which sack/pack???
 

I've found out that my trip to Michigan's UP will be camping at sites with either bear lockers or trees suitable for hanging bags. After reading some BF touring threads and looking on-line, I've seen Rat Sacks, Outsaks and Grubsacks. None of the stores in my area carry any in stock so I'll ask you, the experienced touring campers for your opinions. I'll couple any of these three with Opsaks. I know that bear bags (i.e. Ursaks) are used, but the metal bags seem to be more rodent resistant.

I just use a drybag inside a regular nylon type bag but also don't lock my food lockers and hang my bags so rodents don't get them.

The problem with hanging or communally storing an expensive Ursack type bag is that it might not be there in the morning due to human predation.
Sadly, an uber expensive bag that's easy to walk away with is a temptation to some.
If that's not an issue I will leave it to others to recommend a rodent resistant alternative.

Sure. I just find at this point the price is way too inflated for the product, cashing in on the unique use factor.
