Sedona Arizona

I will be in Sedona the second week in March and plan on doing some hiking. I want to take one of my bikes so does anyone have any suggestions for riding roads or trails? I need some vortex energy

I would highly suggest that you stick to the dirt. Sedona AZ: Known for awesome mountain biking/ narrow roads with too many motorhomes.

I would stay off of 89A as mentioned if possible. Generally for dirt, basically if you go WNW to NE you will be getting into trails that mostly end in impasses in the mountains. If you go in the other directions you will find longer and less mountainous terrain. I have been around the area of Soda Springs road and Beaver Creek which has a good trail too. That whole area is full of trails, just be careful of hikers on the trails...there are a lot.

Heading out toward Sedona. No bike on this trip but I will be hiking so I can get my daily fix of exercise.

The hangover trail is a great hike. Ride it if you are skilled.

I climb Bell Rock almost to the top and had to slide down Hiked Red Rock State Park and the Airport Loop a few times. I’m glad the airplanes made takeoff. Visited the old mining town of Jerome that was an interested crossroads of different people which is cool. Saw plenty of MTBs cruising the trails mostly full suspension rental bikes. Overall a good trip now the long drive home.
