This is by far, my favorite all-around bike. It's a 2000 model and I'm seeking a front rack with a platform and low bags. Any suggestions??? Thanks in advance!

I'm still trying to find some new front bags I like... Sigh. As for racks if you have multiple bikes with mid-fork eyelets the Jandd design makes for easy swapping.

Yes I own a jumbo T-2000 the only original parts are the seatpost and headset.

You aren't looking for anything that is particularly special or hard to either find or cobble together. The Surly Nice Rack should work just fine. The Blackburn Outpost would be another good choice, as would the Jandd Extreme.

You could also add Blackburn FL-1 to just about any platform rack like we did in the old days. And, with a bit of Yankee ingenuity, you could probably do the same with a Tubus Tara or similar racks.

You aren't trying hard enough! My T800 wasn't completely original on my first tour in 2003 (different handlebars and saddle), although it still had the dork disc.

It was less original by 2006

And is even less original now

In fact, I can say with certainty that it has nothing original left on it
