I was wondering if anyone owns or has tried these handlebars. Some feed back would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks Bob, but after thinking about it for a while, I realized that if you sweep the handlebars back, the bar ends become unusable due to the angle. I'll try the trekking bar ends on my flat bars and see how that works out. Plus the joints (hinges) take up valuable real estate for lights, computer, etc.

I may just have to cough up the cash and get the Jones Loop bars

not if you add a second stem with short length of hbar below.

I got some Koga Atalanta bars recently after reading about them on the blog of a guy I met touring in the UK:

They are a bit more expensive than the Ergotec and I had to get mine from the UK at a cost of £138. Here is a picture of mine with the bars fully loaded with wrapping, mirrors, Ergon grips etc. Although I expected to use the verticals at the sides more (similar to bar ends) I have actually found myself alternating between upper and lower horizontal sections more.

Nice looking set up.
I presently have butterfly bars and the angles for the side and far reach are a little too straight (right angled). The bar ends have the sides with a slight inward curve and the far reach have a slight upward curve, which is how I naturally place my hands. I already have the flat bars and the price is not bad, so I'll give the bar ends a try.

The bar ends arrived today and just in time. They really show promise as they are completely adjustable. I leave in a couple days for a week long tour. Let's hope for the best

Status report
 

I just got back, had to cut the trip short by a day because of rain and dropping temps. I can say that the bars worked out quite well. Because my flat bars are wider than the butterfly, there is more hand room, and found the alternate hand positions much more comfortable than my butterfly bars. However, I am going to replace the hand grips with Ergon GP 1. Overall, very satisfied. Only downside, I lost the rubber caps almost immediately.

Do you have details on the trekking bar ends (manufacturer and model)? I want to see if they're available here in the States.

I have the Basic Sport bars on my folder and really like them. With the Basic model the sweep angle is fixed but the grip angle is adjustable. I found the foam padding insufficient for longer rides so I wrap over it with cork bar tape. I should also note for a more aero option I added clip-on aero bars.

It seems they have a USA distributor through KHS. I picked them up through Amazon

I see what you're saying about the foam grips and have already concluded they will be replaced by gel tape as soon as they start to show wear

I have yet to see 'gel' tape that is any more than a way to keep the wrap from slipping an opening a gap.
so more a reusable adhesive than a real cushion, functioning like the Gel Pads, made for drop bars under tape.

Do Share.. your all gel tape find..

Found them on Amazon but no longer carried. The nearest KHS dealers are about 50 miles away, but might stop by next time I'm in Austin.
