Park a bike overnight at Paris CDG airport

I am trying to figure a way to leave my bike overnight at CDG. I'll be going in by train. Must then rent a car to go get my kids (overnight trip)

Renting a van is one expensive option.

Asking the car rental agency if I can leave my bike on the premises is another (but unlikely).

Using a motorbike parking is third (but pricey, although if it is like at some train stations, it is easy to walk the bike under the barrier)

I couldn't find any reference to bike parking even though I am fluent in French and frequently in France.

Any thoughts? (That's for the end of August)

Many international airports and train stations have a baggage check. Ask if one is available, and if they'll take a bike (bike box).

Try a WarmShowers Host

I would suggest you see if one of the local WarmShowers hosts can hold the bike. It "seems" you are bringing an un-boxed bike (in by train) to CDG so space will not be as large. Do you have to leave the bike at CDG, i.e can you leave in central Paris near the central train station? Then you can the bikes (and kids) to CDG from there.

Let us know what you ended up doing. Best, John

A hotel might also be able to store it, even if it is an extra day. It never hurts to ask.

In 2013 we left a bike (in a box) at a baggage storage place overnight. The baggage storage place was upstairs from the train station at CDG, the station that has RER trains departing for downtown Paris. I don't remember what it cost - maybe 15 Euro?

Yes. In front on the Sheraton.

34 euros for a bike (oversize luggage). Possibly not worth it as it gets close to the price difference between a van and a car, and would require extra time to get it to terminal 3.... Problem is that taking the cdgVal between T2 and T3 means that you can't carry your luggage on a cart...

But I'll keep it in mind.

I am starting to think that renting a van is the most reasonable option...
