Cool, sounds like a deal.

I've always thought the frame seemed nice. I (like others here) am skeptical of the 28 spokes for long-term self-supported touring, especially back-country. But I'm open-minded.

CURIOSITY: Have you toured on it yet? Any touring particulars to report?

I have not toured on it yet. My wife also rides a 920, she retires in 6 days, so we are going to get busy traveling and living!

Good for you, buddy! The sweet life if just ahead. My wife still works for a couple more years, but I'm retired now and doing all the stuff that WILL NOT get in the way when she retires!

Hey Thanks! She is 55 and retiring after 30 yrs in the corporate grind and I retired at 56 after 35 years chasing bad thugs. Gentleman Blueberry farmer now, saved our a&$ off, now no looking back.

2018 Sequoia Elite size 56 Dry Tech Fenders 52 MM very nice ride
ordered bike and fenders from Specialized delivered to Goodales bike shop in Hookset NH they assembled bike and put on the fenders.
Payed $1800.00 for bike. Assembly was no charge.

Color: Matte Sandstorm. Sounds dangerous. Looks more like beige to me. What irks me about Trek is their lame marketing. I guess some people buy into it, though. I agree Trek skimps on the wheels, which is probably the most common point of failure on a touring bike. It would be nice if they offered touring-grade wheels as an option.

And what’s with the floating rock behind the front wheel?
