Spain, France and Gt Britain in two months
I finished my first touring adventure last month. NY to Nantucket in four days, It was the first time i rode over 30 miles in one day so this was quite a big trip for me. So now i have the bug - so I'm planning to cycle from Gibraltor(spain) through spain, france england up to john 'O' Groats(the very northern tip of scotland)
Is there anyone out there who has been touring in any of these countrys ?
I would love to do the trip in March but i may start in May if the weather up in the pyrnees is bad at that time of year.
Any advice and tips would be of great help to me.

The classic traverse of the UK is from Land's End in the far SW to John O Groats, taking 10 days to 3 weeks. Coming from France you will be in the SE. There is a North Sea cycle way that goes from the Harwich ferry terminal up the E coast to Scotland.
The major obstacle is getting through London and up to East Anglia. It is tricky to navigate through the city and not the best of cycling I would strongly recomend taking your bike on a train over the most difficult urban parts, using small town or village stations at each end.

I cycled in the Pyrannes for four weeks in January a few years back. The days were mostly good and even warm but as soon as the sun went down it was freezing.
Got up the Mediteranean side of Spain as it's warmer. Don't go up the Atlantic coast of France. There are some bike routes there but the wind off the ocean is bone chilling ( was there at the end of December on the way to the Pyranees.)
The French will forgive you for not speaking French if they see your bicycle.
Cycling through London is a buzz as you're the only thing moving.
