Advice for biking from Briancon, France to Bern, Switzerland
I'm planning a ride from Florence, Italy to Bern, Switzerland for May, 2019. My current plan is to ride up the Alps to Sistriere to Briancon to Grenoble to Mont Blanc to Lake Geneva and then on to Bern. (Current plan here: https://www.strava.com/routes/16894265).
I have some questions.
Has anyone ridden from Grenoble to Mont Blanc? How difficult it is?
Has anyone ridden from Mont Blanc to Lake Geneva? It looks like a good deal of climbing before a long downhill.
I can also skip Mont Blanc (I've been there before but not on a bike) and go via Chambrey instead. Is this a better idea?
Any other ideas or thoughts would be appreciated.

Here's a route that I took southbound from Geneva to Briancon. It did not go near either Mont Blanc or Grenoble. Mostly bike friendly roads with lots of campgrounds. That said, the tunnel into Val d'Isere was scary! I waited for a car to escort me from behind. I continued south from Briancon through Col d'Izoard, Col du Vars, Col d'Allos and Col des Champs on into Provence.

edit: oops! May could be too early for much of my route.
