Rock Island Line Missouri

I cruised the open section from Pleasant Hill to Windsor last June it was a great addition to the trail system. I知 wondering how the construction of the rest of the trail is going? How bad is the red tape and opposition? I read that some sections are going through as planned. Having 450 miles of trail connecting to The Katy would be great.

Did you by chance ride from Lee's Summit down to Pleasant Hill?

No, I started at Pleasant Hill I wasn’t sure if the trail to Lee’s Summit was open or not. Pleasant Hill to Windsor was a good distance to get started after a fairly long road trip. Takes about 16 hours from Hondo Texas to the eastern starting points of The Katy.

I'm not sure if there is any trail planned between Lee's Summit and Pleasant Hill trail head but there is an Amtrak station in Lee's Summit and so I'm always looking for a better way to get down to where you started off. Thanks.
