How about this compact leaning cargo trike for touring? don't need too much packing

Looks good for shopping. Battery range and the overall complication of it would make it a challenge to tour on. But where there's a will.....

It's a neat bit of engineering, but I wouldn't want to tour on it. Too heavy, and the battery requirements are too onerous for the way I want to tour.

Difficult to transport for a tour. I could see it for old folks doing a local day trip.

Saw this on Pinterest the other day. Looks like it has some similar characteristics, but not electric.

Picture illustrated scrub around 3cm of the trike,which in carriage type front end is 1/2 wheel span, you can easily estimate how much torque the rider have to exert on the handle bar

Cool trike. I bet it's Great for getting groceries, and fun for trips around town. As long as you know you have power each day to keep your battery charged, I bet it would be just fine for local touring. The battery charge is the tricky part. Maybe you could carry a spare battery to extend range, and charge them both at night when stopped somewhere. Depending on how much power assistance you need, and how big the battery is, I bet you could do 80-100mi with two batteries. Don't worry about any negative comments you may get if you keep posting about it. A lot of the crowd here doesn't like much other than a classic design touring bike.

Different strokes I guess, but the leaning trike aspect of it looks like a lot of added complexity with not enough real advantage to me. Maybe I am missing the point though. Maybe it will extend the years some folks can ride? I kind of doubt it, but maybe. Maybe the novelty aspect will appeal to some? I doubt the off road audience will be interested, but again I could be wrong.
Sometimes I have thought some new thing looked exceedingly stupid and I was wrong, not often, but it has happened.
E-assist technology has come a long way and I guess for some folks and some types of touring in some locales it can be made to work. It certainly still isn't universally applicable for general touring without a lot of planning and consideration of the route and your strategy for charging. It is awesome for around town in some situations where a little help is needed or desired.
Personally I have to think this particular design would have a pretty limited audience and none or almost none of them would be using it to tour, but I could be wrong.

When I post tilting motor scooter pictures several years ago, some american said: why need more wheel on a bike? while tilting trike owner increased rapidly in EU decade, terrains and climate- - are different in different countries
It is difficult to make modified motorised vehicles legal on road in not well developed countries, bicycle with assist power may not so interfere officer's eyes that's why I swapped to bicycle product, and this is easier to set to production

haven't seen any links to commercial sites from this guy, unlike some other posters that tease you with a cool video of their latest ride just to get you to click over to their site and buy a tour.
