Time FY18-XPRO10

Using Time FY18-XPRO10 pedals and Lake Cycling Shoes on my Trek520. Got a few hundred miles on them now and am generally very happy with them — it’s very easy, and I can consistently, and with repeated effort/technique, clip-in.

However, I have never been able to consistently, with the same repeatability of effort, or technique clip-out. Literally every time I attempt to clip-out, I have no idea what is going to happen.

The pedals came with no “procedure” for clipping-in or out; my local bicycle shop that did my fitting and recommended these products gave me the ole “it will come to you with experience” (it didn't), and I’ve tried contacting Time — they don’t respond to website/email queries.

Is anybody aware of documentation for these pedals that describes the clipping in/out process?
