Gonna try on gear aid on the Alps Mountaineering one I've got with a dud floor . Son works in an outdoor shop so I can get the Gear Aid stuff cheap. Might use ammonia to remove the coating https://www.tryoutnature.com/why-my-tent-sticky/

Vango Soul 300.
https://www.cotswoldoutdoor.us/p/van...-D1412215.html
I have a Vango Banshee 2p, its been going strong for 10+ years. Great tent. I dont know the Soul, but I would trust a Vango tent for a lot of trips.
I have 3 other tents, MSR, Mutha Hubba, and two classic scandinavian tunnel tents. I belive that the Vango stand comparison to my MSR.
edit. Saw that the Soul has fiber poles. Mabye avoid that. But a sharp price.
Spend 180 and get alloy

haven't heard back from any sellers on GT, so in the meantime i'm experimenting with some water based PU for floors on the nylon stuff sack for my tent. we'll see how it goes. i can't get any answers if the tent products are the same type of PU as wood products

I've been using a Big Agnes tent from REI. Been in some terrible T-storms and kept me completely dry. Has my endorsement, for what it's worth.

Waterproof tent
Waterproof tent? Most tents will shed water but most tents will leak through the floor when the floor is laying on ground with a person in a sleeping bag. The best way to fix this problem is to place a piece of plastic sheeting on the inside of the tent. This worked for me when I went camping in The Boundary Waters Canoe Area where it rained almost every day.
