Just FYI this is the Touring sub forum, you probably want to ask moderators to move it to the Bicycle Mechanics sub forum.

It looks like a pretty low end hybrid/"ATB" bike a new wheel (and just the wheel) will probably cost as much as the bike is worth in decent condition. Plus you will also need a tire, tube, and the gears on it likely a freewheel which will probably double that price. However if you are still wanting to do something with this I would recommend going down to your local bike shop and they can get you a replacement. It is likely a 135mm freewheel compatible 26" wheel but they can confirm for sure.

There is probably a reason you got it free, it can be a fun learning project but it really has little value even if somehow in showroom new condition but because it is missing a pretty big component that also has a bunch of stuff with it that is needed.

Hey Clark, It does not look like other ones on the internet, it is a bright fire truck red. I do bike repairs for fun and have gave away around 20 bikes to kids and adults, and this would probable end up being one of those. 20 might sound like nothing, but I live in a town with 250 people. And it is a 6 speed. Thanks for your input though.

Cool the info I gave is still the same though I am not concerned with the looks but just putting a bunch of money into a bike that is a small notch above your typical BSO. If you are giving away bikes that is awesome, thanks for doing so! If you have a co-op anywhere nearby or a donor bike you might find a freewheel compatible 26" wheel so you won't be spending money. However if you do need a new one don't spend the money and just let it go or save it for spare parts for other similar low end bikes.
