Looks great! What sort of gear range do you have with the pinion crank and belt drive? I assume the frame is steel?

Did you purchase the Pinion 12 speed or 18 speed. Can you tell us more about your bicycle and how long you waited for it.

That bike looks the business, any plans for where you are going on it yet?

That taillight looks like a dyno powered type of taillight, but I do not see the headlight? Or is it battery?

Rear rack, not much heel clearance if you put large panniers on it, I assume they are not part of your plan?

I would have used more than 28 spokes per wheel, but perhaps you plan to travel light.

I believe the Pinion 18 has a gear range of 636%. Correct the frame is steel.

It is a Pinion 18. The bike is a custom steel all terrain bike from Joseph Ahearne. It can be set up for dirt touring, 27.5 and road touring 700. The bike is an early retirement gift to myself so I tried to make it my dream build. The wait was about a year.

Immediate plans are for some local touring here in Virginia. The bike was built for retirement tours on the Great Divide and Trans Am. I view the bike as my life machine that will keep me moving in retirement.

Front and rear dynamo powered lights. Correct no panniers on the rear, only front. No issues with the spoke count. I do not overpack.

Now I see the headlight, it is hiding behind the fender and front tire.

So nice. I retired last month. Got the FS mtb last year. I want an all road bike / lite tour I can use for an annual cyclocross ride (not race). This make me shift up from a Journeyer or Checkpoint to something forever.
