Stupid question! Pronounciation of Bianchi's "Volpe" ?

Does anyone know the proper pronounciation of this?

When I see it, I think "vulp." Like gulp.

I've heard people say it as VEE OL PAY, or VOL PAY.

Can anyone clarify?

Should be like the first three letters of the word for the animal Vole , followed by pay. But it's a crazy world, all of sudden overnight, people started pronouncing Niger like Knee jair, as though we were all French
