Leaving the family at Thanksgiving to bike tour

I couldn't take it any more. I needed some time and space. I did the unthinkable. I left the family and took off for a four day bike tour. I left Wednesday to drive to Wakulla, Florida and started riding on Thursday (Thanksgiving day). I'm not sure if I will ever live it down. Every time I get yelled at for being so stupid I just nod and look downward. While my face is hidden I have a huge smile realizing how great it was to get away for four days riding around and through the Appalachicola National Forrest. I gave up turkey and all the dressings to eat Campbell's chicken and white and wild rice cooked over my little burner and yes I would do it again! So weigh in all you naysayers who say I ruined family time. I'll be nodding with my head down and a huge smile. See ya
