I live in DC. I've been reading a lot of travel logs and doing research of 500 mile or so trek involving the Grand Canyon and Zion NP. I noticed a route on adventure that had just what I was looking for. Has anyone done this trip? It's a north to south trip. Some issues I forsee are a constant southern headwind, and major tourist traffic on the roads. I'm looking at October.
Anyone have any insight on the route detailed in the link below?
Thanks so much,

In the summer, winds are southerly and traffic is moderately heavy. By October, winds are weaker and more variable and the traffic is significantly less.
Wind data - -

The weather is usually fabulous in October - - But be aware that October can bring cold weather and snow - esp. to the higher elevations like Bryce and the North Rim.
Climate data - -

I've biked the area about 10 times - usually in the summer, but once in October - and it was blue sky and pleasant temps throughout - at least in Utah - but once I got to New Mexico, I got caught in an early snowstorm.

Best - J
