tool kit
Is there some sort of tool kit I can buy for a bike build. I am taking an old mtn bike and converting it to a touring bike. Thanks

I personally would stay away from "budget" kits as most of them tend to contain tools of inferior quality. As a bike tourer, you'll be tinkering quite a bit.....buy the best tools you can afford as you need them....

I used some cheap metric allens and a phillips screwdriver along with 2 adjustable wrenches (6" and 8"). I seated the headset with a homemade tool made from a long 1/2 bolt, fender washers and nuts. The only "bike tools" I used were the cassette and BB tool.
These are the tools I used to build my LHT this past weekend.
Park makes a tool kit (several of them, actually) .
See the Roll Up Workshop at the park tool site--It probably has everything you would need.
