Rear Derailleur suggestions
 
Hi this is Ty im using my buddies account....

Im setting my Trek 1000 up for touring i have a 11-34 cassette for it and now its time to look for a long caged derailleur and im lost. i'm looking to spend 40-75 dollars on ebay for one. I just need some advice and experience thanks

Just get an LX anywhere or even an XT if the price is right. Never mind if it says "nine speed", it'll work just fine with eight. You'd probably be fine with a Deore too.

You don't want the upside-down "rapid rise" low-normal type, though.

That means you want a 750 series and not a 760 series derailleur.
