Calling upon your Southern hospitality...
In my quest to ride in all 50 states (I have 27), I've been looking at maps of the Southern states west of the Mississippi. My idea is to start in Tulsa Oklahoma (not technically a Southern state, I know) and head towards Hot Springs, AR. From there I plan on going to Vicksburg, Miss. (I'm a history buff, so sue me ), then across the northern part of Louisiana and ending in Texas, probably somewhere around Dallas. I will probably do this around Labor Day.
Anybody, preferably someone who lives down there, have ideas on places that I just have to see, places to stay (camping mostly), places to avoid, places with pie, etc.

I live near Dallas. Will update post when I think of something (it's pretty boring here, that's why I got into cycling).
