Not again??

I apologize for starting yet another thread on the Brooks B17 but I have searched and searched with no answer. It would appear I have three choices for rails - steel, copper or titanium. Ti is just too expensive so ....... is the difference between steel and copper only cosmetic. I want to get the Champion Special which comes with large rivets and copper rails. I am a heavy rider and am concerned about the copper rails being strong enough. Are they actually copper? Can't be! Copper plated? Any suggestions?

They've got a lot of info and buyer feedback on the Brooks saddles they sell. Call them if you want. They'll be happy to share what they know--and they have a money back guarantee.

I have both a B17 standard and Champion special.. No problems with heavy riders for either saddle.. Yes the copper rails and larger rivets are mainly cosmetic.. The copper rivets seems to be a little more flush to the leather than the smaller rivets on the B17 standard

When I came back to riding I was over 260lbs and had no issues with these saddles.. I am much lighter now and they both have been solid for over 2 years..
