Bike boxes in Budapest Airport, help needed

Next 24/06 I am starting a bicycle route in Berlin, ending 9/07 in Budapest. I am taking my bicycle in a box I got from my LBS but have to leave it in Berlin. From Budapest I am taking a flight back to Madrid but Malev-Hungarian Airlines apparently has not bike boxes available in Budapest airport.

As I need and prefer to box my biclycle for the return flight I will much appreciate your help experienced tourers for cases like this. Maybe I can get a box in a local bike shop or in the airport from another airline. Any experience in particular in Hungary?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Never been to Budapest. But I've been to lots of airports and most carriers (and check this with YOUR carrier, take bikes in a bag as long as the pedals are removed or turned, the bars are turned and the tyres are deflated.

I never use a box, I just bike to the airport, buy a bag for about $5 and roll it in.

The only time there is damage is when the front wheel turns, so make sure it is fastened straight.
