Pan-Am Highway / South America anyone?
Hi!
I'm heading down to Chile in the next few months (Dec/Jan) and will be riding north on the Pan-Am Hwy to Ecuador. Anyone planning a similar trip in the near future?
I'm a single female and think it'd probably be a good idea to find a cycling partner for this trip. My schedule is completely flexible and would love to hear from anyone planning the same trip.
Salud,
Ciadelle

Here's a link to a similar tour (the guy is somewhat a volcanologist/mountaineer).

WOw...I envy you...I did this ride as part of my world tour. The security/safety problems are not as bad as they were, say, two decades ago...but still risky, especially in the cities. It is a wonderful time to go, weatherwise.

Hello! My wife and I are headed the other way (actually starting in Mexico at the end of this Month).
Although not staying on the Pan-A the whole time, we will certainly be on and or near it at times. Not sure where we'll be in Jan (maybe still in Colombia? Maybe further south, don't know) - here's an email:
azitiz(at)yahoo.com - shoot us a line and if you have email contact on the road perhaps we'll find you and at least have some beers or tea or something and trade stories of what each other will find before heading back off in opposite directions! Good luck, alexander
