PA Amish country circuit

Hello,
Looking for some advice on an easy 50 mile or less circuit in the Lancaster area. Any thoughts?

Thanks,
Scott

Not sure if you're from the Lancaster area (I'm not) but I did my first ride out there a couple months ago. I didn't have fenders on the bike I took, and it was a huge problem. It started raining, which normally isn't a big deal, but there was so much horse manure on the road from all the buggies that EVERYTHING (me, my clothes, my water bottles, my saddle, my handlebar tape) was having eau de crap sprayed on it for a couple hours. I couldn't get rid of the smell for a long time, and I even threw out the pair of gloves I wore that day.

Summary: buy fenders if you don't have them already.

My gloves already smell so bad that I doubt a bit of manure could make them any worse.

Check out the Lancaster Bike Clubs web site, they have a lot of rides complete with cue sheets.

I really hope this is for a later trip. Recent events has turned this area into a sightseeing destination for a a number of morbid "tourists" seeking the homes of the little girls and the home of the murderer. I am not suggesting that your intents are the same but I think that the people in the area may appreciate a little peace right now. I'm sure you and your touring dollars will be welcome with open arms in very short order.
