Touring Club in Eastern NC

I want to do a lot of small short rides, max 120 miles, and in march or so go out for a 250 to 500 mile ride. Let me know if you are interested. davidaray@gmail.com

Where do I ride?

Where do you ride, I might know you. We ride on base a bit. Are you part of the Down East Cycling Club? Goto the Bike Shop on 17 to join. If you want to train for touring, let me know. I need to train for it, I am going to train from scratch. Starting on the week of Dec 11.

i haven't actualley been out biking too much, and i'm not in any clubs yet, busy with working nights and sleeping days. mainly i ride by myself around new river, 17 and 53, i try to get off the main roads into the country but nothing else comes onto new river, and i don't have a bike rack for my car yet. i rode to topsail island a few weeks ago, a good ride, but not good roads for sure. i didn't have any real problems, drivers were good, just alot of debris going down 17.

Hey there David.
I'm not technically "down East," but I live in Durham, and I enjoy riding the flatter areas of our fine Old North State. I'm training for self-supported touring starting in the spring, and hope to get down your way at some point. I'm married with 2 kids (and another on the way next summer) so my time is not often my own, but I have an understanding wife, thank goodness. We're also hoping to do some family bike/camping trips at a few of the state parks east of I-95. We're also in Fayetteville frequently, visiting my wife's family. Anyway, please add my email address to your distribution list: ncdigitalmemories@gmail.com.
