Hi all,
I will be in Tunisia for about 3 weeks at the end of december.
I wil cycle in the south, following some desert tracks.
Have anyone experience about cycling in desert traks in that area?

I biked in Tunisia but not on any desert tracks. I have to wonder if you'd be able to get enough traction, even with a mountain bike. As soon as I got off my bike on many roads in the south, it was basically just loose sand along the side of the roads and difficult to even walk on the sand. I recall seeing barriers along some roads (near Douz, for example) to prevent or at least slow down the movement of sand onto the roads. As for the roads themselves, they were quite good.

Perhaps a bike kitted out like pugsley could help you cycling desert type tundra.
