Bodensee to Konigsee, anyone?

I'm having a terrible time trying to organize a shourt tour (9 days) - flights are a problem, trains may or may not be better or worse.
I've been studying the German cycleways, and the Bodensee to Konigsee route looks very interesting.
Anyone here tried it. I'd be very interested in your opinions.
Or maybe the Black Forest?

Oh, we'll be going late April.

Hmmm, I hear you say, could be cold.

During my brief stint as a cycle tour guide, I recall cycling into Salzburg with a scattering of snowflakes in the air in late May. I also recall leaving Krimml in very early June of that year with fresh snow starting to stick to the treetops just above the hotel, and very cold rain mixed with a little snow at the hotel. Yes, it could be cold, and it could be wet. The Koenigsee and the entire Berchtesgaden and Salzburg area are very pretty, but I wouldn't count on good cycling weather anywhere near the Alps in April, May, or early June.

I think that's why most of the organized tours in Germany, Benelux & France tend to be in June & July...

If not cold then wet - wet AND cold are not pleasant altho Dutch and German bike commuters ride in all kinds of weather. I've seen cycle tourers in chilly/rainy April & May along the Rhine on weekends. Didn't ask if they were enjoying themselves...
