Out of curiosity, why did you go with a Hone crankset instead of the LX trekking crankset that Shimano offers?

Personally, I would have gone with a Sugino XD600 triple. The gearing is real world and it has 5 arm 110 BCD chainrings. The 4 arm Deore in 46 or 48 aren't readilly available. But, it's his bike. Everything sounds great. I hope the build comes out good. Post some pics. Tim |

Are you aware about the noise produced from those Chris King hubs? It's absolutely impossible to ignore although some people actually like it. Myself, I prefer my bike to run quiet.

Do Hope rear hubs make as much noise? |

Tim Another reason I chose that crankset is because it's tough enough to use on a freeride mtn bike. I may be switching some of these parts over in the future. |

On a completely different note enjoy the LHT when you get her on the road. With all the chris king bits it will certainly have some bling factor! |
Yeah, I've decided against the King hubs, probably get a Hope Pro 2 rear hub.
