Wow

On a recent trip to the Florida Keys I talked with a rider at a rest stop. He had started on the south west border of Canada, rode the west coast of the U.S., across the south to Florida, down the state and back up the Keys. He was headed towards Newfoundland. Wow what a ride. He was self supported no less. I was so impressed that I forgot to get a name or email.

I've got something like that planned but I'll likely end in florida, or catch a flight back to BC and ride across canada. I haven't planned that far. I'm so pumped, and stuff like this makes me even more pumped. GNARLY!

Sounds like that would be an amazing route, and amazing trip. I can't imagine a nicer place to end up than Newfoundland.

The Perimeter Cycling Association notes that Richard Bernardis did a 12,000+ loop around the perimeter of the US in 180 days in 1978-79.
