Darn lousy timing, Good deal on a 520 though

I have been lusting after a Trek 520 for some time. I don't know why exactly. I am not in a stage of life where I can do any real touring. But it seems a perfect second bike. For long (32 mile each way) commutes to work. Rainy rides. Trips to the store.

I found a decent deal on one on the Washington DC craigslist today, if anyone needs one. The timing is bad for me, as in I would probably have to sleep on it when the wife found out I bought another bike.

How big is it? I've been looking for a 25" of early 90s vintage (back when they were still lugged but had a reasonably modern drivetrain).

If it was the same one I was looking at from the Bethesda area it is only a 19" frame. The woman who rode it was 5' tall at it fit her fine. I think that ad went up on Craigslist either on the 18th or 19th if you want to check it out.

No there is another one for a 53-54cm (forget exactly) up in Frederick. Like a 2004 for $400
