Thinking about using these handlebars on my touring bike. Not their intended use, but could be comfortable if mounted upside down and backwards. What do you think?

Think I need to find some without the cable groove though.

Backwards? They'll take your leg off in a crash.

(A BB gun? You'll shoot your eye out!)

Soma and Nitto make handlebars that are similar to what you're trying to accomplish:

I tried my Nitto drop bar. I couldn't get it high enough so I'm waiting for the Nitto Albatross. I just like that bar!

Thanks niknak, that's a great selection of bars that I was not aware of, now which one? so many to choose from. I'm using trekking bars now but want to try something different. For me straight bars bend my wrists too much and put pressure on that hand numbness nerve, (can't recall name for it) Think I will try the All Rounder or Sparrow, I'm using Mtb shifter/lever combo's which should work on both.
