Brooks B-67 problem

I recently finished a 3150 mile tour using my Brooks B-67 saddle. I love this saddle but I did have a problem with it. I am hoping that someone can help me with this.

During the ride, I found it necessary to tighten the tension screw. I did so and after two or three days it came loose and I was able to tighten it with just my fingers. I had to do this every two or three days. So, how do I get the screw to stay where I tighten it? Is this a common problem with a sprung saddle? My B-17 has never done this. Anybody have any suggestions. The trip went well and this was not a big deal but it was annoying...

Loosen the bolt a bit and put a drop of blue loctite on the threads and readjust.

Exactly.

If you don't have any (it is not inexpensive), crazy glue works in a pinch.

Just don't plan on re-adjusting later. Loctite is a ***** once set.

That's why BLUE was specified. The same folks also make a thread locker that's red (called -- prosaically enough -- red loktite). It's specifically for seizing threads on bolts that are not ever, ever to be loosened. Blue holds things together, but it's a breeze to break free. Krazy glue**********

Whoops... sorry... was thinking of the permanent kind. Thanks for clarification.
