Panniers and 20" wheels

Hi all, I just got a Bike Friday NWT. I am trying to decide between Ortlieb Bike Packer Plus and Sport Packer Plus panniers. I like the BPP's but read somewhere that the SPP's are more suitable for a 20" wheel. Does anyone have experience with either *and* a BF, or other 20" inch wheeled bike?

Man, that is one long handlepost. Can you actually pull back on the handlebars safely / without tons of flex?

Anyway, I'd check BF's site, iirc they sell racks and panniers. They probably sell a rack that will result in the same clearances for panniers as a larger-wheeled bike.

Bacciagalupe, I did feel a little flex this weekend while test riding. I ended up ordering BF's folding rear rack. I have an Ortlieb catalog, so I am very interested in their offerings, and I am hearing from folks there shouldn't be any clearance issues with the panniers.

Loved the orange color.
How much they weight?
My girlfriend has Dahon Piccollo and they are very heavy. Not a problem for city and commuting, but when it comes to folding and carrying it... Hehe, you should be Guliver to survive it
It just amazes me to see at the Dahon website the girl running to the fairy with the bike folded
Beautiful bike.

I'm pretty tall, so my BF has a long handlepost, and a long seatpost as well. They do have some flex. It's the part of the BF ride which is not like full sized bike. I've found that I learned to ride the BF like a BF. I use the gears and stay in the saddle. The gearing is low enough that there's no need to pull up on the handlebars.
