Anyone tour with a Bike Friday trailer?

I just bought a Bike Friday New World Tourist for my first tour coming up. We'll be doing Florence, OR to SF. I bought the travel case that converts to a trailer that hitches to the bike. Have any of you toured with this setup? The trailer itself seems kind of heavy without anything even in it. I have also heard that the two-wheel setup, as oppossed to the one-wheeled Bob, is a little more unwieldy. Any advice would be appreciated.

I used my suitcase-trailer for my NWT while touring on one trip. It worked surprisingly well, considering my brief usage included an unpaved rail-trail as well as rain. I was pleased with how well it handled. Still, I prefer to use panniers, if I have a choice. The reason I used it was because I flew into one town and flew home from another.

A proper quality rack and panniers deal, can weigh 6-10 pounds, and you don't get to check your bike with that. I have seen the BF rig out there, and i was sufficiently impressed to consider buying it. in the end I went in another direction, but if I already had one!
