Question about Adventure Cycling maps
 

How much information do the adventure cycling maps provide about lodging? Do they designate between motels/hostels and do they specify types of campsites? Do they offer estimated costs of the locations? (I know generally speaking the range of cost for motels and campsites, just wondering how much detail the maps provide). Thanks.

Adventure cycling maps indicate campgrounds separately from motels. I don't know about hostels, but those are virtually non-existent outside of major cities, AFAIK. the maps generally give you the name, address, and phone number for each motel or campground. The exception to this is in a large city with many choices, the maps may not identify specific motels. I don't believe that prices are given.

I have not seen any details about campgrounds regarding types of campsites. You would need to call the campground to ask about specific needs.

The info isn't completely consistent. They do differentiate between motels/hostels. With campsites the amount of information varies, but usually you get a pretty good idea of what they have. When they don't they list the phone numbers and you can call and ask (a good idea any way).

They don't provide any cost estimations.
