You wear a backpack for touring??
I hope it's not heavily loaded. A small backpack might be okay but anything more than a very light load and you're putting a lot of unnecessary strain on your body. You don't have to buy expensive panniers, you can make your own or buy some used ones on eBay, but get that weight off your back. Best wishes for your healing and finding a painfree way to cycle. |

I went ahead and went to the doctor, and they didn't really know what it is, but think it's cellulitis or something like that. They gave me a painful shot of antibiotics in the butt cheek, and I take an antibiotic once a day. I go back on Sunday for a follow-up. Hopefully it is just some sort of infection or something that will go away with antibiotics instead of a physical injury that takes a long time to heal up.

If it turns out to be something other than cellulitis, don't be shy about asking for referral to a sports medicine specialist or at least a physiotherapist with an interest in cycling.
