This makes me think. Maybe you should figure out how to make an amphibious all terrain bike/pedal boat. that way you can get over various terrain and water if there is a flood. Has anyone ever seen something like this? I think it would be pretty cool to see/try.

Edit: after some googling I found the following info. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zoSLqm1aVvA a recumbent/kayak but it doesn't look like it'll float.
better yet. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YgSaj...eature=related

You can buy a kit from https://www.shuttlebike.com/ to make a bike amphibious. Now all you need is an old lawn mower engine so you can make a helicopter attachment too!

Americans get nervous when petrol reaches the price of a litre of good mineral water. I think it's about $1.06 in Toronto. It's still cheaper than Perrier!

Meh, I don't much care what his political/sociological beliefs are, but seriously, there are still "Soviet" troops who are going to invade The United States along side the Chinese?

[edit]

Holy **** there's some hilarious stuff posted over there. People actually believe that?

Thanks for posting this, Ziemas. It's too bad that Bikeforums is being used to feed into this guy's paranoid, racist delusions.

Also, I'm glad BengeBoy deleted his posts here. Let's hope this thread just goes away.
