Updating a map while on tour

Hi all,

If you're like me, you like to update a map with the progress of your tour for your friends and family to see. This is something I've only been able to do whenever I found a computer with internet access. The silly thing is, my mobile phone has internet access, but there is no mapping site (that I'm aware of) that works with it.

A few weeks ago I started development on a website to solve this problem. It began as a project for myself for my upcoming summer tours, but quickly realized it could be made multiuser.

The usage of the site is basically like this:
  • Create a map before you leave on tour.
  • Give the map URL to your friends and family.
  • Bookmark the mobile-friendly "Add Waypoint" page for the map in your mobile phone.
  • Add waypoints with your mobile phone by copying the latitude and longitude from your GPS.
That's pretty much it. Click here to see a sample map from a day trip I did last week. Feel free to sign up and give the site a try, but keep in mind that it's still under development. This means you can expect to find bugs and usability issues that I haven't addressed yet.

Feedback in the forum is welcome. Thanks!

Haha.. Similar, but I'm not nearly as annoying as them.
