western USA tour suggestions

Hello all,
I've already ridden the coast from Portland to LA, now I'm looking for something new west of the Rockies. I have about 10 days in early June. Any suggestions?
Thanks!!

Do you want paved road or non-paved road suggestions?

Howzabout riding some of the farm roads in the interior of Oregon or Washington? Small town to small town sort of thing. Quiet, not too much traffic, terrific scenery and nice folks.

Buy a DeLorme Gazetteer of the state(s) you want to see and plot out a ride.

Yes!

By this book -- "Bicycle Touring in the Western United States." By Karen and Peter Hawkins.

http://www.amazon.com/Bicycle-Tourin...6375128&sr=8-3

It's long out of print, but available used via Amazon.com. Usually you can get it cheap. Though it's over 20 years old, the route ideas are fantastic. Of course you should cross reference any ideas you get here against current maps.

A great set of tours for folks who don't want to do long journeys like the TransAm; also, there are some good routes in here you can use to connect various parts of the TransAm.

Also, this book has good ideas for in Washington/Oregon/Montana:
