Crank set up for bike of all avenues.....
Looking to change my current crank set up from a 53-39 tooth setup to a triple of some sort. Currently looking at a 50-39-30 or 48-38-28 set up to install on my Surly CC bike. First of all I'd like to keep some beef up front with the big chain ring to hang with the local roadies but overall I use this bike for commuting, grocery runs, light rail trail riding, some future light touring (3-4 day) pulling Bob Trailer/panniers etc. Bike of all trades it is for me and looking for a crank set up to compliement the various riding & needs. Love this Surly Cross Check.......Your feedback is much appreciated....Your thoughts forum********** thanks

By the way anybody heard of a "Tripleizer"? Where I believe you can add a granny gear to your current double crank turning into a triple with some sort of addition & new bottom bracket? If so where are they available....THanks

Bicycle Repair Man !!!
Used to run a 28/38/48 on my Kuwahara mtb tourer with a 12 - 34 seven speed block in the rear... it was great on the road and could climb walls.
