Experience with Axiom Racks

Anyone have experience using Axiom racks for touring? I'm looking for racks for my 2004 Novara Safari. The rear rack that came with it positons panniers too far forward to provide heel clearance. The current Safari comes with an Axiom rear rack that looks like it would be okay.

I use the Safari for tours that include gravel roads and rail trails. I've used a BoB trailer, but would like to do some tours with panniers. My load would be 35-40 pounds, divided between front and rear panniers.

I used a Axiom Journey Disc rack on my daily commuter for over 3 years. I had one small piece break, the extension that went around the rear disc brake caliper. I was able to easily fabricate a new part from a steel rod from Home Depot. The rest of the rack was rock solid. Too bad the bike was stolen a few weeks ago.

I've used an Axiom rear rack. I can't remember what it was called but I had no problems with it.
